RBCT Hosts Inaugural Retreat at Tagungshaus Kloster Heiligkreuztal
From September 23 to 25, 2024, RBCT held its first-ever retreat at the scenic Tagungshaus Kloster Heiligkreuztal in Altheim-Heiligkreuztal, Germany. Nestled in the peaceful setting of a historic monastery, the event brought together researchers for three days of scientific discussions, team-building, and creative brainstorming.
The retreat featured career path talks from group leaders, offering insights into their professional journeys and inspiring junior researchers. Students showcased their work during poster sessions, providing an opportunity for valuable feedback and collaboration. A key highlight was the project brainstorming session, designed to promote innovative research ideas through group discussions, encouraging participants to think creatively about potential future projects.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the retreat included team-building activities, strengthening the sense of community within RBCT. Participants appreciated the balance between structured scientific discussions and informal social interactions.
The retreat concluded successfully, with researchers leaving motivated to pursue new ideas and collaborations. This inaugural event has set a strong foundation for future RBCT retreats, fostering both scientific growth and team cohesion.
